Quirk Name: Adolla Burst (Demon Flames)

Type: Emitter/Mutant
Description:  Adolla Burst is a special flame-based Quirk that focuses on shaping and manipulating heat. It is considered an advanced form of pyrokinesis, that molds heat into flame and shapes it for purpose. This can often involve giving flame physical form, though it can still be used for more basic pyrokinesis, such as the simple release of sheer volumes of flame.

Adolla Burst ultimately allows one to ignite their own flames willingly out of any part of their body in order to enhance themselves or their attacks without harming themselves, and also allows one to control flames from an external source (though only natural flame, not fire from other flame-based Quirks), capable of creating or extinguishing flames at will as well as enhance or weaken fire’s effects.

As a type of Mutation, there is also a psychological link involved with the Adolla Burst Quirk, The Adolla Link is a phenomenon that occurs when somebody experiences a connection to the mental world of Adolla or the Adolla Burst. The link is said to be an experience that connects a human to the Adolla Realm. Those with the Adolla Burst, or other Quirks in its family, are able to experience the Adolla Link as a physical sensation or a series of visions. These sensations are normally triggered by powerful emotions such as a murderous intent or desperation.

It is possible for users of the Adolla Burst to sense each other through this connection. Additionally, those with the Adolla Burst are also able to transfer emotions to each other through this mysterious power and directly converse within the shared vision. Such as using this connection to call for help in a vision. Adulla Burst possessors are also able to share memories and imaginary with each other during mental conversation. All of these visions feature the Adolla Realm, a light realm where the adolla flames burn with darkness - surrounded by ashes and pitch black burned skeletons.

This quirk changes one's pupils to have different shapes and forms and upon using their quirk their eyes light up very brightly - capable of illuminating in the dark. This is where the nickname "Demon Eyes" comes from as in the dark - all you generally can see from the user are just their eyes. Sometimes the user of this quirk may seem demonic in others their eyes

Range: varies
Weaknesses: Water, Ice (-3 power when clashing with water-based quirks) not exactly a true weakness but is able to harm allies unintentionally - flames can only be created on oneself or objects/items that aren't humanoid unless a higher level has been achieved. Similar to Hellflame, Adolla Burst puts out great strain upon its user and can cause them to overheat - any quirk usage beyond this extreme point can cause permanent lasting damage that may or may not eventually carbonize or kill the user. Not wearing fire resistant clothing will most definitely burn your clothing away which may have less than desirable results.

Base Cost: 4
Total Levels: 5

  • Level 1: You are only able to create flames from anywhere on your body at this level and can fire them at your opponents without being harmed by them yourself. The flames inside your body burn like a furnace that increases your physical abilities with thermal energy, this, in turn, makes you more resistant to fire such that regular flames do not harm you. This can allow for feats such as hurling fireballs or propelling yourself through the air with bursts of flame from your feet. Physical strikes, if augmented by this Quirk, add the user’s Power to their base damage.
  • Level 2: At this level you can manipulate your flames to give them a solid form, allowing you to create flaming constructs that have a Wound Threshold of 2 -  you may give these commands that they’ll mindlessly follow - or directly control them yourself. These constructs last a number of posts equal to their Wound Threshold.
  • Level 3: At this level you can manipulate heat to such a degree that you can draw it out of non-living objects on-touch, causing them to freeze. You can also, in turn, add heat to an object with a touch, causing the object to combust. Combusting can be done on living things, dealing Wounds of damage equal to the user’s Power +1.
  • Level 4:  At this level you are able to manipulate preexisting flames over a distance (up to 50m), including those that aren't created by yourself (this does not include flames produced by other pyrokinetics’ Quirks, unless the user is in direct contact with said flame, in which case it can be manipulated but the user still takes Wounds of damage). This can include feats such as preventing combustion over distance, rendering gun-powder or non-Quirk based fire unusable. Also at this level, the cost of manipulating and creating fire within the user’s body or at a touch is reduced by 1, and you may now combust small (under 50 lbs), flammable, immobile, and inorganic objects from a distance.
  • Level 5: With this level learned you can learn to burn your fire so intently that it becomes plasma, letting you create plasma based Special Moves of great magnitude. These Special Moves can increase Wound damage, Speed, and help negate this Quirk's weakness to water. Also at this level, the Wound Threshold of constructs created by this Quirk is raised from 2 to 3 and their attacks increase from 1 Wound of damage to 2 Wounds of damage.
