Character Information
Name: Julie Petit
Age: 16
Date of Birth: July 24th
Gender: Female
Country of Birth: France
Appearance:
Spoiler:

Personality: Julie is a somewhat reserved person, often keeping to herself unless approached. She is comfortable in her solitude however and does not have any qualms with spending the majority of her time alone. Quite a bookworm, she is very well read and also keeps up to date with current manga. She has an extreme fascination with the written word and finds it more interesting than anything else in nearly every situation.
History: Julie's Quirk manifested very early in her life and led to complications in her studies. At a young age she was moved to Hero Classes in order to continue with her schooling at a normal pace. Being a foreigner was at first an oddity that brought with her much unwanted attention. That attention quickly turned into disinterest when her classmates realized that a different country of birth didn't make her any more extroverted or eager to talk to them. She spent most of her time outside of classes in libraries, reading and digesting every bit of literature she could find. Her Quirk is a double-edged sword she has found, as it restricts her ability to write. Her induction to Hero Classes was based primarily on this factor, having to constantly have someone write for her.
Family Members: Mother, Celeste Petit and father, John-Pierre Petit

Quirk Information
Quirk Name: Jeu de Mots
Type: Emitter
Description: Jeu de Mots is a unique Quirk that allows it's user to imbue their written words with their meanings. The extent of the word's meaning is governed by the control of the user however it can never reach life or death levels nor can it change laws of gravity or anything of that sort.
Range: 25m from the user after being written.
Weaknesses: This Quirk requires the user to write out the word they're attempting to invoke though this can be written in any kind of substance. Should the word be removed from the surface it is affecting then the power of the word leaves with it.
Base Cost: 2
Total Levels:

  • Level 1: You begin at this level, giving you the basic abilities of your Quirk. At this level the user can slightly alter the state of things such as writing "cold" on a cup of water to turn the water cold, sharp on a stick to make it similar to the blade of a sword, and other such abilities. Abilities include increasing or decreasing temperature by 10 degrees, increasing or decreasing the weight of something by 15lbs, sharpening an object to something similar to an average sword, causing small cracks in stone, slightly bending steel, and stiffening fabric to nearly shield like qualities. The duration of the change lasts 4 posts or until the word is removed, whichever happens first.
  • Level 2: This level builds upon the first, doubling the effects of Level 1. The duration of the change lasts 6 posts or until the word is removed, whichever happens first.
  • Level 3: At this level the word can imbue more proactive effects such as "explode", "melt", "cut", "shatter", and other similar effects. Writing damaging effects on a person deals wounds equal to the power of this Quirk +1. The size of the writing is directly proportionate to the damage it causes. Writing "cut" across something only cuts the space the word is on, this applies to every word.
  • Level 4: Nearing complete mastery of their quirk, the user is now able to change physical appearances of objects by writing a new modifying word on it such as color, length, or size up to double or half the original size.
  • Level 5: At the final level the user's Quirk is now able to remove the meaning of words rather than imbue them. Should they write the name of something or someone on that something or someone and then they themselves erase it, the meaning of that word is erased as well. This can remove the special abilities of that something or someone making rocks as soft as cotton candy or turning a strongman into someone entirely normal. When used on someone with a Quirk the duration of Quirk removal is equal to the Power of this Quirk +2. Quirk removal is only applied to someone who's Power is less than the user's.
